Malaysia Transit Visa

Malaysia Transit Visa for International Travellers

The Malaysia Transit Visa is designed for international travellers who are transiting through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or other Malaysian airports while en route to a third country. It allows passengers to temporarily exit the transit zone and explore Malaysia for up to 120 hours (5 days) before continuing their onward journey.

Not all nationalities require a Transit Visa — many countries enjoy visa-free transit in Malaysia. However, nationals from certain countries must obtain a Transit Visa in advance or meet specific documentation conditions before being allowed to exit the international transit area. If you are uncertain, our team can advise you based on your passport nationality.
